Client Service
We believe in providing the best possible personal service to our clients. To do so, we manage only discretionary accounts. This allows us to execute investment changes promptly and without consulting the client. The client is, however, kept fully informed at all times. Clients receive confirmation copies of all trades and are encouraged to call us if there are any questions about the transaction within an account. Furthermore, all clients receive monthly or quarterly account appraisals and performance reports from the custodian and from Minis & Co., Inc. In the first year, we prefer to meet with new clients on a quarterly basis to review the portfolio. The frequency of subsequent meetings is determined by the client's needs.
As part of our service, we prepare year-end statements of realized capital gains and losses for each client. All Minis & Co., Inc. clients utilize an independent custodian, either a bank trust department or a brokerage firm, to hold funds and securities. It is also our function to verify the custodian's reports and to ensure that all income due the client has been received.
Confidentiality is very important to Minis & Co., Inc. and to our clients. Client names are never divulged, and employees do not discuss client matters outside the office. Portfolio record keeping is done in-house. The company's database and network are secured and password-protected. Finally, all sensitive documents scheduled to be discarded are shredded.
